The Continuing Education department was established in 1979 to make education more accessible to the public and to meet community needs that are not served by traditional college programs. Although it has been known by other names (e.g., Community Campus), the department’s purpose has remained the same. Continuing Education offers lifelong learning opportunities for students seeking professional development or personal enrichment, designed for students with varying educational backgrounds and goals.
The Continuing Education catalog of courses changes continuously to reflect the ever-changing needs of the businesses and communities we serve. Classes begin on a staggered schedule throughout each semester, and are scheduled at a variety of times, including evenings and weekends. Classes can also be flexibly scheduled in response to student demand. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded for each course that is successfully completed. Earned CEUs become part of the student’s permanent record and are often used by employers as a means of evaluation professional development.
More information about the specific courses currently offered by the Continuing Education program can be found in our Non-Credit Course Schedule.
We are adding new courses on a regular basis, so please subscribe to our email newsletter to get updates!
