Daughters of Charity
According to a recent report by the National Alliance of Mental Illness, 19% of the respondents enrolled at community colleges had been diagnosed with a mental health condition within the last five years. Further, depression and bipolar disorder constituted more than 50% fo the respondents diagnoses in the same study.
Daughters of Charity Health Centers along with Delgado community College recognizes that stress, family issues, and life circumstances can impact quality of life, physical and mental health, well-being and academic achievement. To assist individuals with reaching their greatest potential, DoC and Delgado are now offering behavioral health services on the college's main campus (615 City Park Ave). Services are available to faculty, staff and students, Monday through Friday from 9am - 4pm and Wednesday evenings from 5-7 pm. Referrals, walk-ins, and appointments are welcome.
