Synopsis:
In a famine plagued 17th century community, money is scarce, and food is even scarcer, providing a perfect opportunity for an evil witch to beguile a poor mother into leading her two unsuspecting children deep into the forest. With grit, wit, and help from some new-found friends, Hansel and Gretel battle the evil witch who is determined to make a meal for herself. A sweet time for the whole family, Glennon’s clever take on the fairytale serves it up with just desserts.
The production staff includes Costume design by Shelby Lynn Marie Butera, Scene design by James Means, Lighting and Sound design by Tom Dawson.
Hansel and Gretel is written by William Glennon. The play is directed by Michael Aaron Santos. The play will be performed by students from Delgado’s Theatre Program.
