The DCC curriculum prepares its students for certifications and thus provides its students the ability to acquire an individual state license in all states that require it. Around thirty states issue a license; however, every hospital requires certification in order to practice nuclear medicine technology and all Delgado graduates are eligible to take the national certification exams (ARRT and NMTCB) and thus would be allowed to work as a nuclear medicine technologist in any hospital in the USA. |
Most states do not administer a State Exam. They require national certification as eligibility to acquire a state license. Delgado NUMT graduates would be prepared to acquire a license in all states that require it. For the few states that administer an exam (i.e. California) our graduates are prepared to take their exam. |
