Delgado's Birth Date

The Delgado Trades School Announcement of Trades Courses for 1921-1922 gives June 6, 1921 as the date when the school year will start at the new City Park Campus. Only a handful of students attended classes, but enrollment climbed to 75 in September when people learned of the new trade school.

The official  “Formal Opening and Dedication Exercises” for the school took place on Wednesday, November 23, 1921, after classes were underway. Tuition was free and trades taught inclued cabinet making, painting, carpentry and welding.
