In keeping with Delgado's Mission Statement, the School of Liberal Arts, Social Science, and Education (LASSE) provides a comprehensive education in the fine arts, humanities, and social sciences. The school is also dedicated to the improvement of the fundamental skills of reading, writing, and comprehension and to the provision of a functional understanding of the relationship between language and thought.

At LASSE, we are proud to be the heart of learning at Delgado, offering a dynamic range pf programs that prepare students for meaningful careers, community engagement, and lifelong learning.  With over 21 disciplines and 10 distinct programs - including American Sign Language, Criminal Justice, Digital Photography, Teaching Grades 1-5, and Visual Communications - our school provides opportunities to explore your passions and develop your skills.

Our committment extends beyond the classroom.  We serve the Delgado community through vibrant cultural and creative experiences, such as theater productions, poetry readings, art exhibitions, an annual international fair, and live music events.  Our state-of-the-art Center for Writing, Reading, and Communications is here to support all students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

For students who have completed 30 or more creit hours, personalized faculty advising helps you stay on track for graduation.  With one-on-one guidance, we assist you in navigating your program requirements, exploring career pathways, and setting clear goals for your future.
