Delgado’s Opportunity Youth Initiative and the Delgado Professional Development team Launch the 2024-25 Career Series

On Tuesday Sept. 10, from noon-1 p.m. – Delgado’s Opportunity Youth Initiative and the Delgado Professional Development team will launch the 2024-25 Career Series with a workshop on JOB SEARCH 101 – outlining how students can successfully and safely work to find great job opportunities to apply to. All faculty, staff, students and their family and friends are invited to attend.

Each of the four sessions planned for this upcoming school year will feature a free lunch – and a presentation by a partnership of HR leaders – one from the Healthcare sector and another from Hospitality. The first one on September 10 pairs HR leaders Jessica Rager of Fresenius Medical and Tara Minamoto of The Windsor Court.
 
In addition to how to search for jobs, which is covered in this first session, the October, February, and March sessions will focus on how to construct a great resume & cover letter, tips for excelling in the interview ,and for starting work on the right foot, with confidence & momentum.
