Delgado Hosts Algiers Mardi Gras Festival Press Conference

The Carnival spirit was in full force at the Advanced Technology Center on the West Bank Campus on Tuesday, January 7, when Delgado Community College hosted the Algiers Mardi Gras Festival's press conference announcing the 2025 Grand Marshall and winner of their annual poster contest.

This year's Grand Marshall is James "Jim" Henderson, retired CFO of the Orleans Parish School Board and current president of the Krewe of NOMTOC. He will reign at the parade and festival on February 1 in Algiers' Federal City.

L. B. Landry High School student Jaden Eubanks was named as the 2025 poster contest winner. He expressed his gratitude to his teachers and mentors for supporting his artistic development.

Opening and closing entertainment was provided by the talented New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy marching band.
