Delgado Mourns the Loss of Joe Jaeger

Delgado Community College is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Joe Jaeger. As a member of the Delgado Foundation Board since June 2017, Jaeger was an unwavering supporter of the College. He generously hosted Delgado’s signature fundraising event, the Roast of the Town, twice at his hotel, the Jung, donating the space. Mr. Jaeger was an avid supporter of our students, contributing generously with a special focus on scholarships.
Delgado Foundation Chair Lee Giorgio said, “Joe Jaeger was a close personal friend and a valued Foundation colleague. His spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched in his work – work that has indelibly transformed New Orleans for the better.”
Chancellor Larissa Littleton-Steib, Ph.D., said “Joe Jaeger was a passionate supporter of Delgado and had a keen understanding of the importance of building a strong workforce pipeline to create opportunities for people and improve quality of life. His passing is truly a loss for the Foundation and Delgado Community College. On behalf of the Foundation and Delgado faculty and staff, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Joe Jaeger’s family and friends."
