Delgado Community College’s enrollment team hosted the 2024 Louisiana Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (LACRAO) High School Guidance Counselor Workshop for Zone IV High Schools on August 21. 110 high school guidance counselors received professional development from the Board of Regents, Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance, ACT, and many more.

The professional development workshop took place at the Delgado Student Life Center. The agenda included presentations from the Board of Regents and the Louisiana Education Loan Authority, a demonstration by StriveScan—a vendor that provides student scanning services at college fairs and other events—and an ACT workshop.

Louisiana Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (LACRAO) aims to facilitate the dissemination of information and the exchange of ideas concerning shared professional challenges through annual conferences, workshops, and publications. Its goal is to advance higher education in its fullest and broadest sense while promoting a spirit of unity and cooperation among its members. The association serves as a unifying and coordinating entity among recruiters, admissions staff, records and registration personnel, and enrollment managers from private institutions and the institutions within Louisiana's four higher education governing boards: the Louisiana State University System, the Southern University System, the University of Louisiana System, and the Louisiana Community and Technical College System.
