Delgado Community College Mourns the Passing of Eric Paulsen

Delgado Community College is deeply saddened by the passing of long-time WWL-TV news anchor Eric Paulsen on October 26. Delgado remembers him not only as a renowned journalist and beloved anchor but also as a loyal Delgado supporter who championed education and opportunity in New Orleans.  

For many years, Paulsen served as the master of ceremonies for the Delgado Foundation’s annual Roast of the Town event, raising vital funds for student scholarships. His sharp wit and playful banter brought cohesion and endless laughter to each roast, culminating into a unique and memorable event every year. 

Dr. Larissa Littleton Steib, Chancellor of Delgado Community College, reflected on Paulsen's contributions: "Eric brought enthusiasm to every Delgado event he hosted, inspiring everyone in attendance with his genuine passion for our mission. His legacy at Delgado will always remind us of his commitment to empowering our students and supporting our community.” 

His presence will be greatly missed by the Delgado family and all those he impacted throughout his career at WWL-TV.
