Delgado Theatre Department Hosting Showcase and Fundraiser April 12

The Delgado Community College Theatre Department is hosting “Poor Players: A Theatre Club Showcase and Fundraiser,” Friday, April 12, 2019 in the Timothy K. Baker Theatre at the Delgado City Park Campus.
The fundraiser will include free food, beverages and a silent auction. It will culminate
in an evening of theatre and music performances by Delgado theatre students and alumni
including Idella Johnson, Christina Ingrassia, Megan Whittle and Elyse McDaniel.
Silent auction bidding begins at 5 p.m. The performance starts at 6:30 p.m.
The purpose of “Poor Players” is to raise money to send Delgado theatre students to
the Kennedy Center/American College Theater Festival, an annual college theatre festival
dedicated to improving American theatre and education: http:www.kcactf.org/home.
The regional festival takes place in February 2020 in Abilene, TX, and funds raised
by “Poor Players” at Delgado will go directly to pay for student travel, lodging and
registration expenses.
