SLVHCS Diagnostic Imaging Service partners with Delgado Radiology Program

For the first time, since Hurricane Katrina devastated our region 18 years ago, Delgado Radiologic Technology students have returned for clinical rotations at the New Orleans VA Medical Center, through a partnership with the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHSC).

The SLVHCS will have three students this year with the addition of three students next year for a two-year clinical rotation. The students will work under the supervision of SLVHCS's radiologic technology professionals to provide veterans with safe, well-coordinated care. After the two-year clinical rotation ends, the SLVHCS hopes to retain the students as employees after graduation.

The SLVHCS plans to expand its partnership with Delgado by addiing the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program this January and the Nuclear Medicine Tehcnology program in the summer of 2025.
