Chancellor Steib honored at City Business ICON Award ceremony

Dr. Larissa Littleton Steib, Chancellor of Delgado Community College, was recognized as one of the distinguished recipients of the CityBusiness ICON Award on November 6, 2023 at the New Orleans Museum of Art. ICON Awards honors outstanding business leaders who have had a lasting influence on the city’s economic development and made their mark on the city overall. Their energy, innovative ideas, achievements and commitment to excellence, have moved our community forward.

Larissa Littleton-Steib has a hand in keep the region's workforce pipeline full. Since 2019, Littleton-Steib has served as chancellor of Delgado Community College, Louisiana's oldest and largest community college.

Littleton-Steib has worked to build relationships with business, industry and government entities while making sure Delgado's curriculum aligns with the region's economic development and workforce needs. As of 2021, Delgado was responsible for a $550 million annual economic impact in the New Orleans area.

Under Littleton-Steib's leadership, Delgado developed a partnership with Ochsner Health to provide health care education in a new $20 million health care facility that opened in 2023 and was funded by Ochsner.

Delgado has also forged partnerships with LCMC Health, Apple, Amazon PepsiCo. and Mercedes Benz.
