Where can I find State of Louisiana Operation Certification information?

The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospital website contains operator certification information. 

How do I get the course hours required to sit for a state examination?

All of the Delgado Water and Wastewater Technology courses exceed the 32 contact hours required to sit for the state examination, but you must sign in at every class meeting for your hours to be certified by the state. 

Can I sit for the state examination and receive the certification even if I am not currently employed in the field?

YES! The State of Louisiana will grant a provisional certification for any person that passes the level examination. Upon employment and completion of the required work hours, documentation can be submitted to convert the provisional certification.
