An AED is a vital tool in emergency response situations, specifically designed to treat sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). SCA occurs when the heart unexpectedly stops beating effectively, which can be life-threatening if not addressed immediately.

An AED works by analyzing the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, delivering a controlled electric shock to restore a normal heartbeat. This process, known as defibrillation, can be crucial in saving a person's life, as it helps to reestablish a regular heart rhythm and increase the chances of survival before professional medical help arrives.

Our AED program is dedicated to ensuring that these life-saving devices are readily available and that our team is trained in their use. We believe that by equipping our community with both the tools and knowledge to respond to cardiac emergencies, we can make a significant difference in saving lives.
