Organizations
Charity Association of Student Nurses (CASN)
This organization aids in preparing students to assume their professional responsibilities upon graduation. Active participation in the association provides an opportunity for professional, educational, and social activities. Membership is open to students on admission, and active participation throughout the school program furthers professional growth and development in each student. The members become involved in local, state, and national projects. This is for ADN students only.
Spectrum
Spectrum is a nursing student organization that is dedicated to empowering students from all backgrounds. Spectrum members are engaged in leadership development, networking, equality, mentoring, and community outreach. Membership is open to all Delgado students.
Sigma Alpha Chi (SAC)
This is the honor society of Charity School of Nursing. This is an invitation only organization for ADN students who achieve a 3.1 GPA in their nursing courses as they enter Level III. The organization offers free tutoring to all CSN students in courses taught at DCC and the School of Nursing. SAC members also participate in touring applicants interested in the school, and they serve on the Admissions committee and set up tutoring sessions.
National Association of Licensed Practical Nurses
The professional organization for licensed practical nurses and licensed vocational nurses and practical/vocational nursing students in the United States.
