Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing is the technology which reduces costs for processing, storing, and securing large amounts of data by using on-demand networked computers instead of local hardware to develop a system’s information technology infrastructure.

Delgado offers both a Cloud Computing Associates of Applied Science (A.A.S.) and a Career and Technical Certificate (C.T.C.) in Cloud Computing Foundations. Credits earned in the C.T.C. can be applied to the A.A.S. While this program is an interdisciplinary program combining classes across the Business & Technology Division, it is overseen by the Computer Information Technology (CMIN) department.

Many of the courses in this degree align with Industry Based Certifications (IBCs), such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and more! If you've earned an IBC, you may be able to apply your certification towards college credit for your degree. Contact us to learn more!

Cloud Computing A.A.S.

The goals of this curriculum are to prepare students for entry-level positions in cloud computing and to provide the appropriate foundation for further studies in cloud computing. The curriculum provides students with instruction on the overall computer information technology environment, local and virtual computer networks, networked data security, management of IT projects, and IT support for cloud systems.

Cloud Computing Foundations C.T.C.

The career and technical certificate program in Cloud Computing Foundations provides students with the foundational knowledge needed as a cloud computing practitioner. The certificate program is ideal for individuals who may already have a strong IT career, those who are currently pursuing a more advanced IT degree, or those looking to transition over to a career in cloud computing through a short program.
