Override Request Form - Registration Errors
If you are unable to register for a particular class, you may need an override. Record the error message displayed on the screen. This error message will identify the specific issue that is preventing registering for the class. Common errors/restrictions are listed below, along with corresponding instructions to resolve the specific issue.

Student is missing prerequisite course/test score. Ex. Credit for ENGL 101 before registering for ENGL 102 |
Complete the online override request form linked below and include unofficial transcripts if the prerequisite was taken at another institution. |
| Co-Requisite Error | Course requires registration in a corequisite course at the same time. | Add both classes at the same time by finding and adding both courses or entering both CRN’s on the course worksheet, before clicking Submit. |

Course requires permission of department. | Visit the STEM Office CIty Park Building 2 Room 139 or complete the online override request form linked below and include unofficial transcripts. |
| Duplicate Error | Course is a duplicate of another course already on the student’s schedule. | Visit the STEM Office CIty Park Building 2 Room 139 or call 504-671-6480 for directions. |
| Closed Section | Course has reached enrollment capacity set by department. | Select another section that has not reached enrollment capacity. If all sections are full, visit the STEM Office CIty Park Building 2 Room 139 or complete the online override request form. |
