Annual SGA Events

SGA utilizes the Nine Dimensions of Wellness to develop meaningful student events and activities.

The 9 dimensions of wellness are:

  • Cultural: Understanding and respecting cultural differences.
  • Emotional: Managing emotions and coping with stress.
  • Environmental: Recognizing the importance of a healthy environment.
  • Financial: Managing financial resources effectively.
  • Intellectual: Engaging in creative and stimulating activities.
  • Physical: Maintaining a healthy body through exercise and nutrition.
  • Professional: Achieving satisfaction and fulfillment in work.
  • Sexual: Understanding and respecting sexual health and relationships.
  • Social: Building and maintaining healthy relationships

Cultural Celebrations

Events to celebrate different cultures happen at different times and locations throughout the year. Movie screenings, cultural events and musical performances are some of the events that take place.

Constitution Day

Constitution Day is an American federal holiday that recognizes the ratification of the United States Constitution. It is observed on September 17, the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in 1787. When Constitution Day falls on a weekend or on another holiday, schools and other institutions unofficially observe the holiday on an adjacent weekday.

Fall Fest

Annual fall event where students, faculty and staff enjoy music, games and other fun activities to celebrate the season!

CrawFest

Annual spring event where students, faculty and staff enjoy crawfish and other side items. Music, games and other fun events are available for everyone to enjoy!

Welcome Week

Events are held to welcome everyone back to school and to start the new semester off with a blast!
