The Student Government Association (SGA) of Delgado Community College is pleased to
present the following college-wide events during the year to celebrate American History
& Cultural Heritage Months. All students, faculty, staff, and the community are welcome

February We Celebrate Voices from Our Past that Survived 400 years of Slavery
March We Celebrate Voices from the Mediterranean- April We Celebrate Voices and Contributions from the Middle East
- May We Celebrate the Resilience of Holocaust Survivors and their decendents
- June We Celebrate the Rhythms of the Caribbean
- July We Celebrate America and the French Influences on the American Culture, particularly
Louisiana
- August We Celebrate Going Back to School
- September We Celebrate Voices and Contributions from South America and Spanish Speakers
- October We Celebrate the Fall Season and Voices and Contributions from freedom fighters
such as Mahatma Gandi
- November We Give Thanks for the Harvest and Celebrate the First People on this land
- December We Celebrate the Holiday / Winter Season and Enjoy a much needed break
