Geology and Environmental Science

The Delgado Geology and Environmental Science Department is geared towards teaching beginning level geology and environmental science courses and associated laboratories that transfer to four-year institutions. Our Geology and Environmental Science professors are incorporating new software and models that allow students to obtain a greater understanding of geology and environmental science as a whole.

The department is experiencing a growth phase, with the highest enrollment yet and more course sections offered. In the near future, the department plans to permanently offer a special topics course on the history of dinosaurs and develop additional courses in mineralogy, oceanography and applied environmental science.
