Physical Science
Physical Science courses at Delgado are dynamic general education courses surveying sections of physics, astronomy, geology, chemistry, and meteorology. These courses provide students with a fundamental knowledge of science, research, and the connectivity between scientific disciplines. Students will learn about topics such as forces, sound, electricity, light, our universe, chemistry, shaping earth’s surface, the rock cycle, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and weather. These courses are ideal for students needing to fulfill a natural science requirement and have an interest in understanding the world around them.
Since January 2010, the Physical Science Department at Delgado's City Park Campus has moved to a new facility providing students with new and improved classrooms, laboratories, and innovative technology. This expansion should allow for additional course offerings in the near future.
