As Louisiana's first and oldest Junior College Athletic program, Delgado prides itself on its rich athletic history and tradition of excellence. Our program was founded in 1972 and has grown through the years to become one of the most well-known and respected programs in the nation both on and off of the playing field.

Admissions and Enrollment Services

The Office of Admissions & Enrollment Services is committed to assisting students in making a smooth transition to Delgado Community College. We offer assistance with the enrollment process, freshman scholarships, campus visits, freshmen orientation, and understanding the admission requirements  for international students.

Advising and Testing

The advising unit provides academic advising services to Delgado Community College students enrolled in basic education courses, students planning to continue their education at a four-year institution, students on suspension, veterans of the armed forces, students with disabilities, and students seeking job placement or career guidance. Our goal is to meet the assessment needs of students, community members, and business affiliates throughout the region. Tests are administered on state of the art computers using today’s technology in a secure testing environment conducive to success.

Answer Center

The Answer Center is a central source of admissions and enrollment services for students. Cross-trained employees provides services and general information on registration, advising, testing, financial assistance, admissions and navigating LoLA (Delgado’s online student portal). The Center also provides students with direct referrals to other offices and services throughout the College.

Career Services

Career Services provides students and alumni assistance with job placement and the development of effective job search skills such as career exploration, resume writing and interviewing skills.

Dual Enrollment

The Dual Enrollment program allows high school students to enroll in college courses for credit prior to high school graduation.  College courses can be offered at the high school campuses or the college campuses. Dual Enrollment benefits students by allowing them to transition from high school to college easily; get an opportunity to experience college without feeling overwhelmed; earn credits prior to entering college so they may be able to graduate earlier or on time; eliminate or reduce the need for remedial coursework once they enroll in a college or university.

Health Services

Delgado's Office of Health Services is dedicated to providing quality health and wellness activities, educational information, and emergency medical services to our students, faculty, and staff members.  The Office of Health Services also assists the Admissions Office by tracking, recording, and monitoring  all student health records for compliance issues within the college's immunization policies.

Offers a variety of resources, policies and procedures to support faculty, staff and students and to provide a safe, secure learning environment.

Single Stop

Single Stop connects low-income families and students to critical resources, supports and services that help them overcome obstacles, move toward economic stability and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency. Services include benefits counseling, free tax preparation, legal assistance and financial counseling.

Student Support Services (SSS)

A federally funded TRiO program designed to increase graduation and transfer rates of first-generation,  low-income, and disabled college students. The SSS program provides unique and personalized services to assist you with achieving your academic and career goals by offering FREE services which include:  academic advising, tutoring, workshops, financial aid counseling, and much more.

Veterans Affairs

The Office of Veterans Affairs strives to provide quality service to students at Delgado Community College who served our country in our Armed Forces as well as their dependents.

Veterans Upward Bound

The Veterans Upward Bound is a free program designed to assist honorably discharged veterans in continuing their education. The Veterans Upward Bound Program includes a Pre-College Refresher Program for veterans who wish to attend college or receive special training. The program offers career, academic, and financial aid counseling, workshops, assistance in college enrollment, and class instruction. Enrollment is limited to allow time for personalized instruction. The program is funded by the US Department of Education.

Registrar's Office

The Office of the Registrar works as a cohesive unit of well-informed, professional staff to preserve the academic integrity of the institution and of students with diverse cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds. This requires successfully educating those we serve about the purpose and use of policies and procedures necessary for protecting and maintaining student records. It also requires promoting good human relations between the College and students.
