College and Career Success Skills
Our Mission
The College and Career Success Skills Department offers learner-centered curricula that foster the skills, habits, and confidence necessary for all students to excel in academic and professional settings, to achieve life goals, and to be self-motivated, self-disciplined, self-responsible individuals.
Courses Descriptions:
CCSS 100 (1 Credit Hour)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: A learner-centered course that introduces institutional resources, processes, and procedures and instructs students in academic skills, learning styles, time management, goal setting, critical thinking, and self-improvement.
CCSS 101 (1 Credit Hour)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: A learner-centered course that introduces students to the skills necessary to improve their job readiness, obtain employment, excel in a professional environment, and achieve short- and long-term career goals.
CCSS 107 (3 Credit Hours)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: A learner-centered course that provides instruction in academic skills, self-improvement, critical thinking, educational planning, academic requirements and expectations, institutional policies and procedures, the use of academic resources, and digital literacy.
CCSS 108 (3 Credit Hours)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: A learner-centered course that provides students with instruction in the skills necessary to improve their job readiness, obtain employment, excel in a professional environment, and achieve short- and long-term career goals.
