Step One - Complete Admissions Application.

Complete the admissions application. Your application takes 72 hours to process. Once your application is fully procesed, you will receive email and text communications from Delgado at the email address and phone number that you provided on your application.

Step Two - Register For Classes.

We want to help you choose the right classes for your career choice.

Visit your Advisor. 

  1. Meet with your advisor and make a plan

    • Contact your academic advisor prior to visiting campus. Advisors may require an appointment.*
    • If you are a transfer student, please bring unofficial transcripts to all advising sessions for proper placement and pre-requisite overrides.*
    • If you have documentation of English or Math placement test scores, please bring it to your advising session.  Advisors can discuss placement testing options if needed.

  2. Stick to the Plan

    • Register for classes online through LoLA after being advised.

  3. Graduate on time!

*If providing placement documentation such as ACT/SAT scores, college transcripts, high school/Dual Enrollment transcripts, or placement test scores, please bring those documents when visiting with your advisor. 

Checklist iconStep Three - Determine How to Pay for Classes.

When entering Delgado, you must decide how you plan to finance your education. There are many sources of financial aid available, and Delgado also allows students to enroll in a payment plan. 

Don't delay taking this step! Options become more limited as you approach the beginning of the semester.

Using Financial Aid

There are many types of financial aid available such as grants, loans, scholarships, veteran's benefits, etc. Below gives instructions on how to obtain and use financial aid.

Pell Grants and Loans

1. Complete THE FAFSA (SCHOOL CODE: 004626).

There are 2 FAFSA's available

  • Select 2020-2021 FAFSA for the Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and Summer 2021 Semesters
  • Select 2021-2022 FAFSA for the Fall 2021, Spring 2022, and Summer 2022 Semesters.

For summer sessions only: Submit a request for Summer Financial Aid.

2. Submit requested documents

Review your Financial Aid Account in LoLA to submit requested documents to finaiddocs@dcc.edu .  

  1. Login to LoLA (Delgado’s online student portal); Check Financial Aid/Eligibility.
  2. Check your SAP status.
  3. If you are selected for verification, find out how to submit the necessary information.

Scholarships

Internal scholarships are awarded by the College each school year, and a list of external scholarships is maintained by the Office of Financial Aid.

Contracts and Waivers

Eligible students may receive a waiver of base tuition and applicable fees if they qualify for an approved Legislative, Board Mandated or Institutional Waiver or Exemption.

A third-party organization may sponsor a student's enrollment by committing to paying a student's mandatory tuition and registration fees. Most organizations will grant the sponsorships through an application process.

Using Delgado's Payment Plan

Pay tuition in manageable monthly installments – for either your entire bill or the amount remaining after financial aid.

We have made paying tuition easier!

Enroll in a tuition plan to pay your tuition in more managable installments. The payment plan provides many benefits to those who enroll.

Gives you more time.

Make payments over time

Allows you to avoid high interest rates.

Tuition payment plans only charge one low $30 fee at the time of the enrollment.

Payment in Full

Payment in Person

Pay by cash, personal check, money order, or cashier's check (in-person credit card payments not accepted) at the Bursar's Office. Students can only enroll in and pay toward the payment plan online.

Online Payments

Avoid long lines by paying tuition with a credit card online via LoLA (Delgado’s online student portal). Delgado welcomes American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and VISA for online payment.
